 Dr. James Wardlow

Pastor James Wardlow is a man of a genuine spirit and trust in God. He is compassionate, contemplative, engaging and a joy to be around. His strength lies in giftings of preaching, family and marriage counseling and the ability to empower people to discover and use their gifts for God’s glory.  A native of Los Angeles, CA, he has ministered through-out the western U.S. He was first ordained as a church elder through the Church of God in Christ, which is the 5th largest Christian church organization in the world.  He attended San Diego State University, where he met his wife and then transferred to Hardy School of Theology where he earned dual Doctorate degrees in Ministry and Theology.  Additionally, he holds a B.A. degree in Biblical Family Counseling and Religious Education.

Following his education, he was hired to teach at the Hardy School of Theology, Seattle Urban College for several years and has been invited to guest speak at many churches, retreats and conferences in the Pacific NW area. He birthed Lampstand Family Ministries in September, 1996 and he is presently the Senior Pastor at Lampstand Family Ministries, servicing the Puyallup church and community with the kingdom principles of godly family life values and victorious living in Christ the Lord.

He has been married to his wife Beverly for 39 years. They have three wonderful adult children and six beautiful grand children.     

 Beverly Wardlow

First Lady Beverly Wardlow is a speaker, teacher and mentor of women.  She is founder of “Queen’s Court” Ministry, which focuses on building and nurturing First Ladies and wives of Church, public & Corporate leadership.  Her goal is for women to see themselves as “Vessels of Honor”, through the eyes of God and understanding their own destiny in the ministry that God has given their husband.  Beverly works along side of her husband, Pastor James Wardlow in ministry and oversees the women’s ministry at Lampstand Family Ministries that her husband founded in 1996.

Beverly is also a writer, having written several booklets from which she has poured out insight gained through personal experiences and God-given wisdom essential for success in a marriage. The Lord has used her and her husband, Pastor James Wardlow of 30+ years in the area of “Building Marriages – God’s Way”, through wise counsel and restoring families back to Christ and through Christ, back to each other.  Beverly and James are the proud parents of three awesome and wonderfully saved adult children, Bill, Katina and Maria, a lovely daughter-in-law, Sharion, a dear son-in-law, Ty and six precious grandchildren, Mariay Nichole, Kaylen James, Tiffany Amber, Blake Kristof, Kai Alexander and Olivia Ryann.

 Ministerial Gifting:

Pastor Beverly operates in several giftings of the spirit, among them is the gift of exhortation or “parakaleo, meaning to admonish, to encourage or to beseech”.  You could call her a “how to” person.  She has the Spirit-given capacity and desire to serve God by motivating others to action by urging them not only to hear the Word of God but to apply that very Word of God.  Her method of teaching enables the listening to grab on to the meat of maturity and grow.  First Lady Beverly has a desire to unify people by using practical issues and bringing them into parallel relation to the Scripture.

As relating to prophecy, God uses her as a “forthteller” telling or speaking forth” the mind of God through preaching, speaking and teaching the Word of God.  As a Godly discerner, she is able to point out sin with goal of making Christians aware of the sin in their lives – for the purpose of repentance.
